Detailed Itinerary

Morning: Pickup from Moshi or Arusha

Your day begins with a hotel pickup from Moshi (8:00 AM) or Arusha (7:00 AM). You'll travel by private 4x4 vehicle through Chagga villages, maize fields, and dry savannah. The drive takes about 1 hour from Moshi and 2 hours from Arusha. On arrival, your guide will help you settle in at the springs and choose a shaded spot for the day.

Mid-Morning: Swim in the Springs

Dive into the warm, crystal-clear water of Chemka. The spring pool is up to 5 metres deep in places, with shallow areas ideal for children. The water is so clear you can see straight to the bottom. Small fish swim around your feet, and the surrounding fig tree roots create an unforgettable natural setting.

Optional: Rope Swing & Floating

For the adventurous, there's a rope swing suspended over the deeper part of the pool — a thrill for teens and adults alike. Bring a waterproof camera if you want to capture the moment.

Midday: Picnic Lunch Poolside

Enjoy a freshly packed picnic lunch beside the springs. Cold drinks, sandwiches, fruit, and snacks are included. Tables and shaded seating are available around the pool.

Afternoon: Relax, Sunbathe & Swim More

After lunch, the afternoon is yours. Swim more, float on your back under the fig trees, read a book, sunbathe, or simply nap in the shade. This is a slow-paced day — no rush, no schedule.
